Women’s Issues

Women’s issues refer to societal, political, economic, and health-related concerns that specifically impact women and girls. These issues often arise from systemic gender inequalities and can encompass a wide range of topics, including but not limited to reproductive rights, gender-based violence, workplace discrimination, equal pay, access to education, and healthcare services tailored to women’s needs. Women’s issues also address the intersectionality of gender with other identities, such as race, class, and sexual orientation, highlighting how these factors can compound the challenges women face. Advocacy for women’s issues seeks to promote gender equity, empower women, and improve their overall social status and quality of life.
